This is an error I am getting on a DC. It seems to be about a DFS, but I
don't have an DFS mount throughout the Domain.

Following is the summary of warnings and errors encountered by File
Replication Service while polling the Domain Controller
hawking.sentraliant.com for FRS replica set configuration information.

The nTFRSSubscriber object
cn=sentraliant,cn=sentraliant,cn=870eb536-465f-40f4-9f88-ba538f61050f,cn=dfs
volumes,cn=ntfrs subscriptions,cn=hawking,ou=domain
controllers,dc=sentraliant,dc=com has a invalid value for the attribute
frsMemberReference.

Was that machine ever part of a DFS replica (i.e. had a DFS root
target or DFS link target)? It looks like you may have some left-over
objects in AD that FRS is interpreting as a problem. There are a
number of AD objects that FRS uses. The ones for SYSVOL replication
are a little different from those for DFS replication.

You could try manually cleaning up AD. Doing so is risky, but you
don't have another choice if you want to resolve the event. Be sure
to take a backup in case something goes wrong. Refer to the following
KB article for repairing FRS objects in AD.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;296183

Note that these objects are in W2K as well as WS2K3.

Please post FRS related questions to
microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs and prefix the subject line
with "FRS:" to make it easier to spot. Note that FRS is used to
replicate SYSVOL on domain controllers and DFS root and link targets.

For additional FRS resources, please visit
http://www.microsoft.com/frs.
