Morphed Folder removal |
|
|
One of my administrators manually copied folders to two replication links,
server A and server B, and now I have morphed folders on Server A.
Is it safe to simply delete the morphed folder on Server A, once I verify
the data is correct in the non-morphed folder?
I don't want to follow the recommendations of
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=328492, because I cannot rename the
directory, there are too many users and processes dependent on it.
Thanks,

run a test folder around the morphed set and see where it ends up |
you will know then to delete only the ones with the test folder and
rename any that are inconstant |

Do you mean that I should move the folder, including morphed folders into a
new folder on the same server?
I cannot do that, as this is a critical folder (used 24x7, 365 days a year).
