Change location of Log files |
|
|
When creating my Exchange 2k3 cluster, I think I accidently put the same
drive to be used for both logs and exchange database. I have migrated some
users over to the new exhcange and i see 5.1mb log files being created in
the M:\EXCHSRVR\MDBDATA folder. I do not see anything happening in the L:
(logs) drive.
Both drive are available resources in the cluster.
Is there anyway to change where the log files are stored after the virtual
server has been created?
TIA |

1) Make sure both the L: and M: are dependences for the System Attendant
(SA). This will require a restart of the SA.
2) Use the Exchange System Manager - point to the Storage Group - Database -
move the logs to L:. This will require a restart of the Stores.
So, its easy, but you will have down time!
