LCS SP1 SE on Win2k3 Server. It's a single server in a single domain. LCS was up and running, using MOC as the client.

Part 2 was to get archiving working. SQL 2005 is on the same server. When I enable "Activate Content Archiving" on the server, the LC Service stops and keeps stopping whenever you try to start it. This event gets logged:

Archiving Queue Path
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Live Communications Archiving Agent
Event Category: (1011)
Event ID: 30506
Date: 2/20/2006
Time: 2:34:41 PM
User: N/A
Computer: LCS
Description:
Live Communications Archiving Agent failed to open the specified message queue .\private$\LcsLog. Note: Live Communications Server service cannot start if the archiving agent is enabled and fails to start.
Cause: Destination queue may not be accessible for several reasons including: MSMQ service is unavailable, queue does not exist, queue permissions are incorrect, etc.
Resolution:
Fix any of the relevant issues listed above in order to get the archiving agent (and the service) to start.

MSMQ is installed and the service is started. I wonder if something is wrong with the Archiving Queue Path (.\private$\LcsLog) though I just copied it from the path shown during install. Can anyone help me get archiving running?

I started from scratch and realized where I went wrong. Once LCS is installed , I then installed SP1. I also had to rerun the schema, forest and domain preps from the SP1 interface (I don't think I did that last time). I then installed the archive service from the SP1 interface, then activated it through the SP1 interface. This seemed to work. I don't think I realized that SP1 wasn't just an install-and-forget-it type of upgrade.
