Clients are getting an immediate "Error - Printing" error in the Print
manager when trying to print to a shared Oki 3100 or 3200 colour printer
connected via USB to a Windows 2003 SBS Server.

With a user given explicit full permissions on printer share (Print, Manager
Printers, Manager Documents) and being in the "Domain Power Users" group
problem still persists.

Adding them to the "Domain Admins" group however fixes problem. This however
is surely not a suitable fix .. Any suggestions on the extra permissions that
"Domain Admins" gives the user that fixes the problems.

Is the a specific GPO perhaps that will fix this problem without giving out
excessing file permissions.

Have you tried creating a new Security User Group called, for example, Colour
Printer ... add in the users who you want to be able to print to it ... then
add this group in on the Printer Sharing Permission Properties.

Is the printer published in the Active Directory and can they see it ok and
install it when running the Add Printer Wizard?
