Hello,

I need to replace my C: drive but I have 2 problems.

The first deals with my C: drive which was originally set up incorrectly as
a dynamic disk. It should be a basic disk. My thoughts are I can correct this
issue within the ASR.SIF file as restore is done. However, I can find no
helpful info of MS technet to aid in modifing this file.

The second issue occured as I tried to do and Automated System Repair,
Windoz setup complained the new 40GB dirve did not have enought free space.
Futher research concluded the old C partition was 37.27GB and the new drive
could only be partitioned to 37.24GB.

I suspect the 2 issues are related, and futher suspect I need to modify the
following sections of the ASR.sif file:
[PARTITIONS.MBR]
[ASRFMT.FIXEDVOLUMES]
[ASRLDM.VOLUMESTATE]

The actual config is:
C: 40GB "boot/system" drive
D: 40GB "data" drive
J: 120GB "data" drive
M: 120GB "data" drive

None are mirrored or extended.

Anyone able to offer suggestions?

TIA

rick
