Migrating from SBS2000 - issues with migrating to a new exch |
|
|
The sbs2000 box has now reached it capacity so we have purchased 3 servers to
share the load of our expanding company sql, dhcp, dns, backup, wins, av,file,
print services are now shared over the 3 servers, however when i tried to
install exchange 2003 on one of the new servers, i migrated mailboxes
successfully but the public folders wouldn't replicate - got local copy
modified, so i had to roll back, why wont sbs2000 allow replication of public
folders as mentioned in this article, is there a
fix?http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.exchange.admin/browse_thread/thread/6c0ce7c02b59495f/af8114ab10b5cef8?lnk=st&q=migrating+exchange+2000+2003+public+folder+problem&rnum=1&hl=en#af8114ab10b5cef8 |

I have not seen this documented anywhere. Did you notice on the google
group that two people called PSS, and only one was told it can't be done?
Seems like another MS twist - PSS seem to try to blame you for everything,
and until you prove otherwise they don't have to do any work. I believe
(but cannot confirm) that I have had this working, but it was a migration a
couple of years ago, and the old server now doesn't work.
Does anyone else remember doing this? |
