Hello,

I'm having issues with getting DHCP to work on Windows 2003 Server Standard
Edition.

I have two domain controllers running W2K3 Standard in a single domain. Both
are also configured as DNS servers.

I installed DHCP onto one of the domain controllers several days ago, and
everything worked well.

Yesterday, I installed DHCP onto the second DC.

After this point, DHCP stopped working, and I've been at a loss on how to
get it running again.

Some miscellaneous info on the situation:

- DHCP scopes are properly authorized. The address pools assigned to each
server are not in conflict either.

- The router under DHCP settings is set to the server itself.

- If I switch the router DHCP is configured to to the Cisco router,
everything works fine - including the Internet.

- The clients can successfully connect to *local network resources* - i.e.
the file server. They can't access the Internet however.

- The clients that connect via DHCP are on a workgroup, not the domain the
DCs are part of.

- The clients do successfully receive their IP addresses, and that of the
DNS server(s) via DHCP.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled DHCP on one and both servers to no avail.

Can anyone give any insight onto what the problem could be, and what could
be done to resolve it?

Do you have your gateway ip set correctly on the second dhcp
installation?
