AD Rename kills GPO |

In the documentations I used and reviewed for domain rename, none had
information about GPO maintenance. The rename was successful; however, as a
result the default GPO for the domain (only one we had), is now exhibiting
errors on the Domain Controller. The reason is because The GPO references
the old domain name.
Can someone tell how to delete this via GPMC AND recreate a default one?

Okay, just saw the previous post/answer I had - use Dcgpofix.
Now how do I delete the GPO from GPMC. GPMC just keeps giving me error that
it does not exist, but no option to delete it - I removed the link but still
errors out.

Use ADSIEdit.msc or DSA.msc to delete the object, and then delete the object
from SYSVOL. The GPO will be
CN={GUID},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=domain-name,DC=com
Note. DSA.MSC needs to be in advanced view to see this container.
