Restoring a portal site to a new server. |
|
|
I'm trying to move the portal to a new server.
This is what I have done.
By using the data export wizard in SQL Server 2000. I export the databases
to the new server.
Then from the sharepoint portal server central administration, I try to the
restore the portal site from the 3 databases:
SPCPorta1_SITE,SPCPorta1_PROF,SPCPorta1_SERV.
When I try to restore from the databases, I got the error message.
You cannot connect to the database or the database does not exist. Check
that the database name is correct and try again. (SPCPorta1_SITE)
I'm pretty sure the database is there. Am I missing something here??
All help will be greatly appreciated! |
