Can SPS 2003 use SQL 2005 as the database, nd is it supported or when will
it be supported?

Thank you.

Maybe? I heard rumors that if you had SharePoint SP2 then it would support
SQL 2005 but I haven't seen anything official yet. Of course since SQL 2005
isn't officially released yet I would say not to run anything but test
portals on it.

Here is what Fitz said about it.

And you will notice the SP2 documentation does NOT make any mention of SQL
2005.

I think Fitz had a later post about it being supported and now that it's
RTM (released to manufacturing) it should be supported.

As for working, all my development setups for WSS and SPS are now
running on SQL 2005 without a problem.

SQL 2005 is a supported database. To apply Sharepoint Portals Server SP2,
you must first apply Windows Sharepoint Services SP2. Applying Windows
Sharepoint Services SP2 enables support for SQL 2005.

According to a SQL 2005 High-Availability Demo
(http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/demo/high-availability-demo.mspx),
the high availability aspect of SQL 2005 requires that you add about 10
lines of code to the application. Does anyone know if SPS 2003
supports SQL 2005 high-availability? Any idea what/where those 10
mythical lines of code go?
