Hi folks

What I need to do is have a ping test of some sort to test connectivity to
an external system. I also want MOM to report on any failures and maybe
latency issues.

Any advice on how to go about this would be most welcome.

Hello,

Thank you for your posting!

You can use an Event Rule with the Script or Ping Response.

If you have any questions, please feel to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance.

Michael,

There is an article at www.myitforum.com on creating a ping test and
inserting the results of the test into the MOM datastream. I don't have the
exact link right now but it is at the top of the MOM section.
