Hi,

I have a problem with the MOM MP version checker :

I have some events telling me my AKMs are out of date :

An update exists for one of your management packs: Microsoft Windows Servers Base Operating System, Installed Version: 05.0.2800.0000, New Version: 05.0.2801.0000

When I check the Microsoft MP catalog, this new version (05.0.2801.0000) doesn't exist : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=0639E4A4-3457-4978-947C-FD6849FA0BDE&displaylang=fr

Hmm, well there is a problem here, but not with MPNotifier.

The version that's reported on the website that MPNotifier checks is version
2801, however, the version that is actually on the MP catalog is 2803. Looks
like someone has been forgetting to keep the lists in sync - I'll need to
beat some people here. Meanwhile you should consider updating your MP to the
one in the catalog.

shows a 2800 version.

After downloading and importing th MP, the MP properties page in the MOM
admin console also shows 2800

Is there another link to download the Management Pack ?

Ahh, you are looking at the French version (which is 2800) as opposed to the
English version which is 2803.

Yep, this is a problem on our end. The web site MPNotifier is checking
claims there is a later version available (2801 for some reason) so you get
the alert. We'll have to fix it on our side. You could cheat, turn authoring
on, and change your version to 2801 if you want stop getting alerted.
Meanwhile I'll go beat heads.

I think you have to update the XML file with the localized versions.
Please, post when it's done.

I have the same problem with other localized MPs: SQL Server, DNS, Cluster
servers

You also have a problem with English versions:
Concerning the English version, the management pack catalog shows a
05.0.2803.0000 version for the base operating system MP. But when you click
on the download link, the download page
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=0639E4A4-3457-4978-947C-FD6849FA0BDE&displaylang=en)
shows a 05.0.2730.0000 version.

Yep, I noticed the issue with the two different versions as well. These
issues have been forwarded on the the release team and they should be
updating the site.
