Alert Recovery NotificationNew to MOM!
How do you configure alerts to automatically generate an Alert Recovery
Notification when an event corrects itself? Example: When a monitored service
restarts MOM will send an email identifying the stopped service. Can MOM be
configured to send a recovery email as well, like Argent, Tivoli, and
ipMonitor? |

Many people have tried to do this. I agree it would be a great and very
useful feature to have but it does not seem to be possible at the moment. I
tried using a script called "autoresolve.vbs" or something similar which I
think was written from MOM 2000 but it doesn't seem to work with the MOM 2005
API (don't know much about it, sorry, I am not a programmer)
The best solution I can think of is for as many people as possible to get
onto this site http://www.microsoft.com/mom/feedback and request the feature
be implemented by Microsoft. Maybe then we can get some relief.

Thanks for the response…
I opened a ticket with the MOM engineers group to see if there was a work
around and will post the outcome of the call.

I will post a feature request, but I am very interested to know if anyone
else has gotten this to work.
