Hi everyone, just installed the following products in this order.

1. Windows 2003 with SP1 integrated

2. Used DCPROMO to convert the computer to AD

3. Installed IIS with ASPNET option

4. Installed SQL2000 + SP4

5. Installed WSS with SP2 integrated.

6. Extended a website

7. Allow anonymous access at IIS level on the virtual server that I just
extended.

8. Allow anonymous access at the top level site to list and libraries

When I try to give permission to anonymous users to a document library to be
able to edit and add documents, the checkboxes appear grayed out so I can't
select them.

Any ideas why this happens.

Thanks a lot,

Ivan

This

http://www.asaris-matrix.com/mvp-walsh/Lists/WSS%20FAQ/DispForm.aspx?ID=121

seems to state what to do when the checkboxes are grayed out.

But the solution given is to enable Anonymous on the Virtual Server using
the IIS MMC which you did in 7.

Perhaps you could compare how you did this with the above piece just to be
sure that isn't the problem.

Hi, that's just how I did it. Must be something else.

Thanks,

Ivan
