HI! We have Mom2005 sp1 and it was first created as the management group
called mommg. Then the operations manager in management server was
reinstalled and a new management group called pp3 was created. The agents
were installed to the first MG but were not touched between, so now I have a
situation were I get alerts from both management groups. How to remove the
old mg?

Hello,

Thank you for your posting!

I recommend that you should uninstall the MOM agent Locally and reinstall
the SQL server and MOM to keep a single Management Group

If you have any questions, please feel to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance.

I think you would need to remove the MOM agent on all servers
completely and then reinstall the MOM agent on each server. That should
get rid of the agents trying to communicate with the old management
group. You can use the CleanupMOM utility from the Resource Kit to
remove the MOM agent from your servers.
