I have an established domain of 2003 Standard servers. I have loaded my
first 2003 advanced server and joined it to the domain. The group policies
came over (the domain administrative account was renamed) but the domain
administrative account does not have administrative privileges on the
advanced server. Any Ideas???

Try a reboot. The domain admins group should be in the local administrators
group after the machine is joined but a restart is needed before you will
see that group in there. Did you reboot when prompted to do so after you
joined the domain? If this does not resolve the problem examine all Group
policies for a 'Restricted Groups' policy and look into that.

The machine has been rebooted several times.

Local administrator group is on the machine and the DOMAIN/User is shown in
the group as a member. The account with the error is the "Administrator"
that is automatically created by the system. Signing on to the system as a
"different" domain administrator works correctly.

I have looked thru the Local Group policies and cannot find any "Restricted
Groups". Since you cannot search the policy screen, do you have any
suggestions on where it would hide?
