Multiple VS.Net Solutions in One Web site |
|
|
Hello - we're running MCMS 2002 and would like to know if it's possible
for two or more .sln files to coexist in the same Web site; e.g., each
section of the site would have its own .sln and be separate for
development but able to be a part of the larger site.
Thank you,
Sam |

Stefan,
Would this be a good solution for a standard edition MCMS 2002
production environment?
I inherited a MCMS project that needs alot of work. but the site is
currently live and I need to redesign, recode and debug it.
Thanks

sure that is possible.
Each of these projects needs to reside in a separate directory.

Hi Hank,
you can do this also with Standard Edition. But be aware that only one site
can be hosted with Standard Edition as the "Map channel name to host header
name" feature is not available in standard edition.

Stefan

Stefan,
I know about "Map channel to host header name" I had an issue with
migrating a site from Enterprise to Standard and all the channel needed
to shifted to the root channel.
So how would you publish one VS.NET solution and disable another. I'm
sorry I'm a VS.NET newbie.
Thanks for your help |

Hi Hank,
what do you mean with "disable another"? You can have multiple different
ones being active the same time.
Cheers,
Stefan
