I would like to enable the windows 2003 server firewall on a DC and open the
necessary ports to allow it to still be a DC. Has anyone ever done that
successfully? If so, what ports do I need to open or what should I do to
ensure it will work?

Hi George,

Recommended way of doing this is by using Security Configuration Wizard that
comes with SP1. When you run SCW you will have an option to define roles the
servers holds and you can select domain controller role. It will then open
necessary ports and protocols for you...
