telephony / conference solutions |
|
|
Hello everyone.
I would like to set the LCS 2005 system in the company that doesnt have any
telephony system deployed.
There is about 1000 of users and the solution has to be cheep and realize
all of LCS funcionality.
It cannot be outsorced so that means that solutions like GETS and Radvision
arent accebtable.
Could you guys provide me some already tested PBX solutions ?
And what kind of MCUs solutions you recomend ? Do I need it to make a
voice-conference only ? And how can i connect it with PBX ?
would be appreciated for any info.
greetings

Pawel,
You will need a SIP gateway to connect to the PSTN. Cisco routers can do
these and there are many others on the market. MCU's will only be
required to conference 3 or more people into a call, but I don't believe
LCS currently supports this. This would currently be a PBX function via
Remote Call Control using CSTA.
If you just want to make PC-PC calls and PC-PSTN calls then LCS with
Communicator will do that. You will also need to think about inbound
PSTN calls. If you looking to replace a PBX with LCS then the
functionality isn't there today.
