cant save to my site |

Hello peeps
one of my users cannot save to his My Site's private documents folder from
word through a mapped drive. He can save to it from any other office
application and can upload a document to it through the web interface. He can
save to it using the http://server.domain.co.uk/personal/username from within
word as well, its just through the mapped drive, which is going to the exact
same place.
The error is:
word cannot save or create this file. Make sure that the disk you are saving
to is not full, write protected or damaged.
Does anybody have any ideas what the problem could be? |

My users are having the same problem. Using W2K, with Office 2000. What are
you using?

I too am using all you have listed, with the exception of sharepoint portal
server.
Did you ever find a resolution?

using Win server 2003 and office 2003, sharepoint portal server and
sharepoint services, and our users have Win XP Pro sp2 |

not really, i just changed the save as dialog to save to the url:
http://sps.DOMAIN.com/personal/USERNAME/
in word, go to tools >options
then on the file locations tab, change the documents location to the above
url (changing the neccesary parts)
more of a work around rather than a fix, which kinda sucks.
