Hello,

My situation :
______________

* 2 DC under 'Win2000 Server' and approximately 150 'Win2000 Pro'
workstations.
* 1 RIS server to deploy workstations system.

My goal :
_________

* upgrading my domain to Win2003 (using the same hardware) and the
entire client network to 'WinXP Professional'.

My questions :
______________

* In what order should I proceed ? (Primary DC first? Secondary DC
next? then workstations ?)
* As we use many active directory services (DNS, DHCP, DFS), are there
any specific recommendations dealing with their migration toward 2003 ?
* We use Norton Ghost to automatically install software packages (MS
Office, Lotus Notes, VNC, C++, etc...), is there any win2003
fonctionality that could do the job?

Hope that was clear,
Thx in advance

Regards

Hi,

1. Yes. The steps are reasonable.
2. No need to do it separately, it will integrate with the upgrade process.
3. I'm not sure why you use notorn ghost since you have a RIS server. You
may also deploy the software installation in AD>
