Hangs during preparing network connections |
|
|
I have a SBS2000 server that does the above on re-starting. It has one
network connection and we have had users totally locked out of the system due
to AD not authenticating, resulting in us restoring system state from tape
backup. Articles I found on technet suggested running ICW which I have done
but this has not resolved the problem, trouble is the system is down for
three hours or more as we try safe mode options. I am not sure but I think
it is something to do with ISA with which I have very little experience.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

the internet.

the foreign DNS on the NIC is causing the problem. Remove it.

Hi
The foreign address is the IP of the ISP's DNS and has always been there as
far as I am aware.

all that suggests is that your server has been misconfigured for a while.
