How to add another server? |
|
|
I bought a server from a software company with Win2K server installed with
SQL 8 SP4. I joined this server to the domain and everything seemed ok but
when I try to log on the server as part of the network, it's real slow and
then hangs at applying personal profile settings... any thoughts? I had just
planned this server to act as a databaser server for some other clients. Does
this sound like a licensing issue? The new server is not configured to be a
DC or anything and does not even have active directory installed. Any clues
would be helpful, thanks. So far I can only log on as a standalone server
that's not part of the domain. |

give us the output of 'ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt' from both the SBS
and application server.
Slow logon is _almost_ always DNS related.
