I have an entry for our Novell server in our DNS server (Win2K AD) but the
workstation login tree and context does not see the Novell server when we use
the name. If we change the tree and context to the IP address of the Novell
server, then we are able to log into Novell. Is there an entry I should be
making in the AD/DNS server to recognize the Novell server?

Thanks
Emma

Which platform is handling DHCP and is it passing SLP information? (I'm
assuming you are Novell 6.x)

And to answer in a very general way, yes.

1) Create a Host record in DNS for the Novell server name
2) Create a CNAME record in DNS for the Tree name and point it to #1

Note: Be careful not to introduce name collisions. (e.g. Tree name should
never match the root name of the active directory name. Tree name should
never match any computer host name on the network. If you need me to expand
on this, post back and I will.)
