We have just deployed LCS 2005 in our domain on a testing basis.

My question is about adding on some more functionality to the Windows 5.1
client. I have seen some examples of additional "Tabs" that contain
additional information or features and I would like to know where I could
find out more about this. I would like to bring more functionality to the
LCS experience and I believe adding more tabs with more features would help.

Any knowledge you can pass along would be great!

The "tabs" are part of Windows Messenger branding. I haven't performed any
work on branding beyond some basic logo work, so I can't give any advice
other than to recommend that you check out this webpage:

The registry settings are likely the same between 5.0 and 5.1.

If you test Messenger settings on a Windows 2003 server (not recommended),
you need to be aware of this KB article:

Just to add one thing:
Graham Tyler has a good blog regarding branding, including some code.
Wonder if you can do http://webmail.company.com/exchange/%username% and use
the username variable in a tab....
