We are running SBS 2000 with 9 users. The boss wants all user My Documents
folders redirected to the server. I have created a Group Policy for
members of the Domain Users, Users, and Administrator groups to redirect to
their respective Shared User Folders on the server drive.

However, nothing seems to be happening .. each user Shared Folder remains
empty.

What am I missing ??

Thanks in advance ...

Have you tried the obvious?

On a WS desktop, right-click My Documents. Under properties (from
memory) it will show you the present path to My Documents.
For a small number of Users, it is possible to go round and change this
using the 'Move' option, then navigate to the share on the Server.

This is usually a permissions issue. Check the event logs on the clients
for related errors, and have a look at this:

To redirect My Documents folder:
1. Logon to the SBS Server, click Start > Server Mgmt > Users > Configure My
Documents Redirection
2. Click Redirect My Docs to default Shared folder

To move user's documents to a different folder, you must first apply the
appropriate permissions to the folder. Click 'More information' in the
Client Document Redirection dialog box for more instructions.

Kevin's instructions would be SBS 2003, if I'm not mistaken.

Dave ... you are correct, the instructions from Kevin are only for SBS 2003,
and have no corresponding menu selections for SBS 2000. I sure could use
some insight into where to look in SBS 2000 to set up folder redirection.
It really cannot be a rights issue because all of the users in question have
full administrator rights. Group Policies seem to be set up properly.

Folder Redirection does not even have an entry in the SBS2000 help menus.

Appreciate comments or leads ...

What you've done - Group Policy - is the correct way to go in SBS2000.
I have domains setup as a domain policy - and this holds for all users
well. The security settings for the 'base' folder on the server needs
to be correct - a nice link for that has already been posted so I assume
you have that info.

IMPORTANT: Granting exclusive rights to special folders
=======================================
The Settings tab in the Properties dialog box contains a check box labelled
"Grant the user exclusive rights to My Documents". This option controls
permissions on the newly-created redirected folder. If this option is
selected, and the target directory doesn't yet exist, Folder Redirection
will create the directory and set permissions on this directory to allow
only the user and the local system full control over the folder. If this
option is selected, and the target directory already exists, then Folder
Redirection will verify ownership of the directory. If the directory is
owned by someone else, Folder Redirection will fail. Whatever permissions
are in effect by default remain in effect. If you clear this check box, no
changes are made to the permissions on the folder. Whatever permissions are
in effect by default remain in effect. The Start Menu folder can only be
redirected with this option turned off.

In short, if you check "Grant the user exclusive rights to My Documents",
and the user folder already exists, folder redirection is likely to fail.
