Wondering is this is possible

We want to implement Commerce Server so that users have the option t
register with an affiliation

If they are registered with an affiliation of Nike, they can orde
from the Nike catalog. If they are not registered with a
affiliation of Nike, they can still view the Nike catalog, howeve
cannot order from it

Is this possible

This is not possible out of the box
However your site code can prevent the user from adding an item to the
basket or not showing the Add to basket button depending on the
type of user. The users information can be stored in the User's profile and
you can access this information to decide on whether the user should be
allowed to order from the catalog or not.
