1 problem, 1 question |

Hi All!
The facts: WSS-SP1, SBS 2003 + SQL Server 2000.
1) Problem: web folders doesn't work anymore (maybe after sp1 installation).
So we can't open an Excel or Word file with write permission (file is
read-only) with Office 2003. Also "Explorer like folders view" does not work
in WSS at all (I.E. 5.0 required and web folder message error). How do i
check and fix this?
2) Question: i've a subsite where only one user is granted to read, write
and modify (he is the only user that has rights on this site). If he create
a webpart that contain a user selection combobox, he is the only user listed
in the combobox because no other user is added to this site. Is there a
workaround to get all the other users of the organization or of the main
father site?
Thanks in advice, Chris. |

Do us all a favour and post one question per message (when different topics
like here) - also giving them a less general title would help.
On 1. have you checked through all the fixes to Service Pack 1 that came out
after it (there are about seven of them). They are listed in the WSS FAQ's
KB Articles section in the Service Pack 1 category.
On 2. I don't know (see the problem with two different questions!).
