Very Slow Shutdown Win2K |
|
|
I remember seeing or hearing about scripting the shutdown of some services
in order to speed up shutdown or correct Win2K shutdowns when you have a lot
of services running. If anyone has some input, KB's, etc that might help I
would appreciate it as right now it can take up to 10 mins for the server to
shutdown which I am betting is because items are not responding and just
timing out.
Win2K Server (patched)
Exchange 2003
GFI
Virus/Fileserver/Print Server/etc
It is a bit under powered but still good enough for the task at hand, I am
guessing it is Exchange that is causing the slow down in shutting down. |
