Not enough information to tell you the cause, such as OS, where you trying to savie this
<locally or network>, is this a new file or changed file, etc.

1. Checke permisisons on the file if an existing one. Make sur eit is not read only.
2. Make sure you (the logged on user) have permisison to make changes ot the file in the file
and NTFS permissions.
3. If this is the only file you are hainvg this prblem with, move it to a new directory and see if the
problem continues.
4. If all files are having a problem, then it could be some global issue with permissions caused
by antivirus, firewall software, citrix, virus, group policy if part of a domain, etc.

There is no easy solution. You will just have to run down what is causing the permisison issue.
Yoiu can try booting into Safe Mode and try it again. If this works, then you know it is something
that gets loaded in normal boot causing the issue.

Gary

Thanks Gary...I will try your suggestions. Here are a few more details if it
helps: I'm using Windows XP. It doesn't matter if it's a document I create
(at home or at work on a network) or someone else...it won't save and gives
me the file permission error.
I can, however, open and make changes to files that are already on the
flash/jumpdrive. It just won't let me save any new files. Only 20% of the
space is being used on the jumpdrive, so there's room.

Thanks for your help!
