We've got a Windows 2003 server set-up as a DHCP Server. We'd also like to
use it as a print server for use across a few workgroups. It's not set up
using active directory and all PC's exist on the network within their own
workgroups. The only function of the server is to issue IP addresses and we
do not wish to make the PCs join the Domain (for reasons not relevant here).

When we set up the printer on the server, client PC's can only print to it
when a connection is established with an appropriate username and password to
the server. Is there any way the Printer from the server can be accessed by
all workgroups on the network without having to connect to the server with a
username and password.

We have changed the printer settings so that Everyone has full access to it
on the share but it still will not allow client PCs to print directly to it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No,...not any "good" way. That is what Domains are for. That is also what
the Guest account is for, but that is horribly insecure and that is why the
Guest account is always disabled by default.

Everyone is not "Everyone everywhere" it is only "Everyone on the Server".
None of your users are "on the server".
