Client Computers cannot see intranet |
|
|
I can use our intranet on the server with no problems. I am using Windows
2003 Server for Small Business. However, none of the clinet computers on our
domain can see the intranet. I get the DNS error page. Surely I don't have to
uninstall Sharepoint Services and reinstall!!! Any suggestions. I down loaded
the Hot fix that was suppose to fix it. No change. Is there something on the
client computers I need to change? |

How many nics in the server?
can you post the IPconfig /all from both the server and a workstation?
this is most often due to IP configuration issue

A mistake - It says the page cannot be displayed. Just one card.

Yes, I can post the ipconfig /all. I can do everything else on the server
from the client computers except the companyweb. Was SBS suppose to install
software on the clients for Sharepoint services?

I did a uninstall reinstall of Intranet services according to the Microsoft
Knowledge Base. No difference.

I can ping the server, but not the companyweb.

Cris was right. Added the server IP address as a DNS server and client
computers can connect to companyweb. Thanks Cris!!!!!!!
