You can change the Reporting Database grooming by:
From SQL Query Analyzer, run the following
exec p_updategroomdays '<table name to set grooming
on', '<# of days to set grooming to>' - Potential Table
Names for Grooming:
SC_AlertFact_Table
SC_SampledNumericDataFact_Table
SC_EventParameterFact_Table
SC_AlertToEventFact_Table
SC_EventFact_Table
SC_AlertHistoryFact_Table
For example:
p_updategroomdays 'SC_AlertFact_Table', '1' (set for 1 date
you can try to put 0 but I didn't checked.
After a day all data will be delete

All fact tables groom in 395 days (13 months) by default.

Re: Flush Reporting Server |

OK
So that means if I want to clean out most of the data in the
SystenCenterReporting dB, I can change the recommended table groome time to
lets say 1 day. Then after one day, change it back to 395 days again to
start building a fresh dB from that day.
Is this the correct or possible way of deleting everything in the Reports
dB?
Thanks.

That works (as does 0 days and running the groom job).
