deleted email attachments |

Several users are complaining that attachments sent to them from outside
email addresses they know and trust have been getting deleted. The email
message instead has an attached text file stating that the attachments have
been deleted due to virus threat. Can I recover these attachments, and, if
so, how? Also, how can I change the settings to allow such attachments
through? |

Durring the exchange setup you shold have been asked if you wanted stripped
attachments saved or not, and if so where. I created a dir on my server root
\ExtractedFilesExchange.
Start the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard.
On the Connection Type page, click Do not change connection type.
On the Firewall page, click Do not change firewall configuration.
On the Web Services Configuration page, click Do not change current Web
Server certificate.
On the Internet E-mail page, click Enable Internet e-mail.
Follow the instructions until you reach the Remove E-mail Attachments page,
and then do one or more of the following:
To add a new attachment type that you want to remove from Internet e-mail,
click Add. In the E-mail Attachment Type dialog box, type the values for File
name extension and Description.
To modify a selected attachment type that is already assigned, click Edit.
In the E-mail Attachment Type dialog box, type the values for File name
extension and Description.
To remove the selected attachment type from the list of attachment types,
click Remove.
Follow the instructions to complete the wizard
