Is it possible to install MCMS 2002 on an instance on virtual PC running
windows server 2003? It does not find the pre-requisites needed even though
they are installed.

Yes, this is possible.One common problem with the pre-reqs is SSI and ASP,
which need t be installed via Add Remove Programs rather than the IIS
Manager and is detailed at

Hi,

sure that is possible (although not officially supported).
I do this multiple times a week.

If a pre-requesite is missing, then check the installer log.
There will be a statement which components was not found.

SSI and ASP are installed. It tells me I require VS.Net and IE Web Contols.
Both of which are installed.

Tanks for quick respose.

SSI and ASP are both installed. It tells me I require VS.Net and IE Web
Controls both of which are installed.

Hi,

I assume you installed the wrong version of IE web controls.
I also assume you installed VS.NET 2003 rather than VS.NET 2002 and you did
not install SP1a of MCMS.
