I have installed HIS 2004 , our network specialist defined the Enterprise
exterder in z/OS. I have defined I IP/DLC link on HIS but keep on getting the
following error:

The node type indicated on an XID3 received from an adjacent node is
different to that expected
Sense code = 0x08090054
Port name = IPPORT00
LS name = @N000001
Received node type = 03

Cant find any help on Microsoft, does anyone know what I need to do to get
HIS working.

You might want to download the IP DLC white paper at the following link to
verify the configuration:

Hi Stephen
We used that whitepaper to setup the HIS and VTAM environment. We beleive
after bouncing VTAM this weekend we no longer get the XID3 problem. We now
get:
"APPC session activation failure: BIND negative response or UNBIND request
received
"

Before this error I receive error that remote LU was not found. This is not
possible as we are using the previous SNA 4 remote LU. This interface is
still up and running using the same remote LU.
