Hello All,

I have been running Windows Sharepoint Services 2003 for about 6 months
now with an SQL 2000 install, and up until now everything has been
working fine.

All of a sudden, I can no longer use the forms that are on any of the
sites - the error reported is a webpage with the tile "Sharepoint
Services Error", with 2 lines underneath, the first stating that the
user notify the webmaster of an error, and the second to the webmaster
with the statement to check the event logs for the error.

In the event log the error is reported as "One or more documents stored
in image columns with extension 'csv' did not get full-text indexed
because loading the filter failed with error '0x1'."

And there is a link - of course, with no help as to what the error is at
all. After checking through Microsoft's site, I found the similar error
regarding SQL, and the workaround - this did not work either.

The other item affected is also the loss of alerts. No alerts are being
sent to the subscribers.

At this point I honestly have no clue what to do? Please help!

Can you clarify this part

"I can no longer use the forms that are on any of the sites".

standard WSS doesn't have forms- the only forms would be (for instance) Info
Path forms in the Forms Library.

Is this what you mean and if so have you made any changes to InfoPath on
your client?

As for loss of alerts - is your SMTP still working?

[I only hope it's not a corrupt database - we've not had any reports of such
here in the newsgroup]

Let me clarify. I have created some forms for users for various things.
They have been working perfectly since they have been introduced. Now I
get these errors. After a user requests the information the form was
provided for, they receive a form validation page. Now they get the
error page instead, as noted in my original message.

At least tell us whether these are self-written and/or use WSS functionality

The forms are simple, self written, and are used to book things such as
the data projector, notebooks, and volunteer referrals, etc. They are
used to send the information to the proper people for booking these
items. We do not use info path, as I am not familiar with any part of it
at this point. The forms are found on different team sites for resources
to be booked. They were developed in Frontpage 2003.

I hope this helps.

Well it doesn't help me because I don't create things in native FP but
hopefully someone else will now be prompted to respond.

If there's no reply in a couple of days it will be because people think that
because of the length of this thread the question has already been answered
so post it again then but with the text changed so that everyone sees
immediately that these are self-written FP 2003 forms and not InfoPath ones
and that they appear on pages on the site rather than in any WSS library.

But give it a couple of days - not everyone ignores a long thread.

Gordy,

I assume then that the forms use the built-in features of FP for handling
the form and sending results via email? It would be good to test to see if
it's an SMTP issue. If so, deselect that option and just let it write the
results to a file (by default it's a file in the _private folder). Submit a
form and see if you still get the error. If not, and it does write the
results to the file, then you know you have an SMTP problem and can start
troubleshooting form there.

As a side note, I can't get the custom confirmation page to work on forms
created with FP when used in a WSS site. Are they working for you?

JV,

Your response is bang on the nose! That was actually what the issue was.
Our upper level of government at the ministry level had made changes to
the SMTP server and not notified us. I changed to our local SMTP and
everything works perfect. So, just for fun I also tested your theory and
it worked as well.
I hope others take note of this error, as I have not found anything
anywhere outlining this issue.

Also, the form verification only gives me the default, I am not getting
any of the custom pages that I have instead.
