I am trying to create a mapped network Drive or a network place to a
document libary. It seems no matter what username format I get it
rejects my username and password.

the path is http://server001/Shared%20Documents
I was able to make a network path connect under a diffrent profile on
the same computer so I cant figure out whats up.

I have tried user@domain and password domain\user and password and user
and password. I am positive I have the correct username and password
because I can login to sharepoint with the same credentials.

I am pretty sure I am doing somthing silly because It is the same when
I try this to diffrent sharepoint servers on diffrent networks etc.
any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks!

Mapped local drive (NET USE X: \\servername\doclib) works only if I remember
right if you have Offfice 2003 on the client.

But My Network Place should work even without Office 2003.

(format http://servername/doclib has worked for me in My Network Places
even though the My Network Place opens only at servername level and I have
to open doclib.)

Is there a Group Policy Object or Permission Denial on your domain that
may prohibit web folder connectivity?

I looked closer at the network place that was working and it was
http://server001 so I mapped it to this instead and it worked it
required the domain\user format to login.

I did try Mikes suggestion but could not get it to work.
Thanks for the advice -
