Web part connection filtering question |
|
|
Hi!
It's no problem to create a web part connection between 2 data views. The
problem occurs when using the connection. The fact is that immediately when
the page is loaded, the data view already filters the connected data view
with the first row.
For example:
I have categories list and I have a document with categories. But I've put
them on the page as data views with FrontPage, not as web parts. So when I
make the web part connection to filter, documents are already filtered by
first category.
Is it possible to make somehting like in web part connection with web parts
that would show all documents and would filter on click?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can turn off the feature that sends the first row to the connected
part when the page loads. It's in the advanced settings of the web part
properties.
