Hello,

It is very unclear wich OS/400 hosts are supported by microsoft host
integration server. The installation guide (under supported hosts) displays
support from V5R1 or later.

The host integration documentation displays support for TCP/IP from V4R2 or
later.
(see :
ms-help://HIS_2004/HIS_2004Main/htm/_sna_ibm_db2_for_os_400_support_oledb.htm)

Because -almost - everything is working on our OS/400 V4R4 i'm hoping to get
support for versions V4R2 or later as mentioned in the documentation.

Krijn-

In HIS 2004 we officially only support V5R1 and later. What does this really
mean? It means that we do our official testing here in house with V5R1 and
later and if we found a bug that only happened on versions ealier than V5R1
we would be reluctant to fix it. The HIS 2004 providers seem to work well
against V4R4, but you need to keep in mind the two things I mentioned above.

HIS 2000 support V4R2 or later so if you want to run an offiically supported
version of HIS for your version of OS/400 than you should continue to use
V4R2.

A big reason why we pushed the minimum supported version of DB2 forward is
that IBM is doing the same thing on their side. I believe (don't quote me on
this... <G>) that IBM no longer officially supports V4R4 now that V5R3 is
available.

Let me know if you have additional questions and I can try and get answers
for you from one of our program managers.

HTH,
