Most of the reports that came with MOM 2005 are not
working. I installed the management packs after I had the
report part setup. I have checked the DTS job and it
seems to be running. I have checked the various rules
and they all seems to be enabled but still no reports. I
have the Exchange folks looking for reports and they are
not working...ideas???

Did you import the Report XML into MOM?

I did...when you go to the web site you see the reports
but when try to run them they come back with the same
type of error which makes you think it is not configured.

This was an upgrade from sp1 and when I brought in the
new management packs I made sure I brought in the xml
files

can I bring in only the reports again with changing the
management packs??

You can reimport the reports only using the import wizard.

Many reports require DTS to be run after the report is imported so that the
DTS job will create views needed by the report.

After sending the last note I thought that was the wrong
job so I went to
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/mom/mom2005/d
eploy/ch5/deploy_reporting2.mspx

And have now kicked of the DTS job...I will let you know
if this helps.

Some MOM reports for Exchange need rules to be enabled and test mailboxes
set up in order for data to get stored. Have you looked in the mom e2k3
rule group to make sure the reporting rules are enabled and running?
