My OnePoint DB is filling up awfully quickly. I have seen
recommendations to disable the default event collection but I can't see
how to do this. Is it a rule group? Is it a check box in the global
config? Where is it? Most of the messages seem to be in 2003 so they
may have been dealing with MOM 2000 whereas I'm in MOM 2005. If I
click on Events in the Operations Mgr there are upwards of 300,000
events. It seems like it collects all the windows events from my
servers. I don't need or want this. i'll go to the server to look at
these. How can I disable this?

Thanks,
Bill

In MOM 2000 I found it in the Rules at Rules -> Processing Rule Groups ->
Microsoft Operations Manager -> Default Event Collection for Operations
Manager.
BTW - I'm having the same trouble and I turned this off last night, it
didn't help, and I'm told by another on this forum that this rule doesn't
exist in MOM 2005. Good luck and let me know if you find the answer . . .
thanks
