Is it possible to configure existing Alerts from within the different mgmt
packs to send email response to different notification groups based on the
computer group that the reporting server belongs to?

Out of the box, you cannot do this. I believe the Notification Workflow
Solution Accellerator on MS' webpage can be customized to do this.
