We know that MOM listens for SNMP Trap messages on port
162 (UDP).

Does MOM listen for "regular" SNMP messages on port
161 (UDP)?

TIA,
Jacques

Hi Jacques,

MOM's implementation of SNMP uses WMI which in turn uses the Microsoft SNMP
services (named SNMP Service and SNMP Trap Service). I explained this to
specifically answer your question. By default, the SNMP Service uses port
161/UDP to perform SNMP Get and Set requests.
