Ibrahim:

Your questions would be best directed to a newsgroup related to Outlook
Express, but I will be more than happy to type a few lines. If you can tell
me how you got here, I can direct you to that group based upon your
familiarity.

Your question mislead me...I would make several backup recommendations prior
to a re-install of an OS and restore recommendations post-backup...but it
appears that you have already performed that. It depends on how you
performed the reinstall. If you completely formatted the drive, you are
stuck and will not be able to recover the data (yes, there are data recovery
and forensics services that could likely recover this...but companies such
as OnTrack run in the $2000 range and a few hundred $$ just to look at
it...not an option for most people).

If you did not reformat the drive, you can look for your old DBX files
(Outlook Express Database files) on your workstation with the Search feature
(right-click on your C: drive and perform a search for files containing
*.dbx). Once you found them you can perform an import from within Outlook
Express. (File...Import -> Outlook Express 6).

Chances are Outlook Express downloaded all of the e-mail off of Yahoo. If
you go to the web version of Yahoo! mail...what you see is what you have.
Yahoo! will not reconstruct mailboxes for end users.

Personally, I utilize Outlook, save everything to a PST. When I migrate
systems I save my PST and my rules, run a full system backup, and grab what
I missed. Granted, I use Outlook Express for my newsgroup work...so...6 in
one and 0.5 of a dozen in the other.
