Message Stuck In Queue Folder, Cannot Delete. |
|
|
Hello,
Running SBS2000 fully patched here with Exchange and ISA. I have a
message 666Mb in size stuck in the queue folder below and I want rid of
it. I think its a very old server status report that some how became
stuck. Its in the following folder on the server [C:\Program
Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\Queue] , but it doesn't show up in the
Exchange management console (SMTP queues).
I've tried stopping all the exchange services and then deleting the
file in the actual Queue folder but I still get "Access Denied"
messages when I try to delete.
Is there something I am missing that would allow me to delete this
without going in to safe mode, we're very busy at the moment with the
new year and shutting the server down is something I'd rather avoid at
the moment.
Thanks In Advance

Hi John,
Did you also stop the SMTP service?
