Hello,

one of our clients is looking for a way to automatically receive a copy of
every outgoing and incoming email of a certain user to his account.

They use a SBS2003 with Exchange and get their eMails via the inbuilt POP3
connector from an ISP.

Of course at least the incoming messages could be copied by establishing a
rule in the respective menu of the ISP, but I was wondering whether Exchange
provides an effective method for the above-mentioned question.

Thank you very much indded for any comments.

Hello,

Exchange have this feature.
You have multiple solution.
If you want to receive mails only from all users you can go to System
Manager (exchange mmc) go to Storage group, mailbox store. Right click on
Mailbox store and in general tab select 'Archive all messages sent or
received by mailboxes on this store' and select the user which will receive
all mails.
If you want to receive mails from less users you can make a separate store.
If you want to receive only incoming mails you can go to AD Users and
computers, right click on user, go to exchange general tab and then click on
delivery option where you have option to forward all mails to another person
and in personal mailbox.

SBS 2003 (Exchange 2003 Standard Edition) only allows for one mailbox
store accessible from Outlook.

Hello Henry,

thanks for your reply. Could you please describe in other words, what you
meant with your posting? I don't quite understand that. Does it mean that
it's not possible at all?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Also make sure your employee manual states that the firm can monitor
email accounts of employees.

GFI's Mail Essentials has this feature built in. You can copy a single or
multipul users incoming & outgoing e-mail to another users accounts (with or
without their knowledge). See the bunph at www.gfi.com.

I was essentially replying to Emanuel's statement that you
"can make a separate store."
