I am planning on using the ADMT for migrating Users, Passwords, Groups and
SIDs but how should I migrate data from the old NT domain?
Thanks any help is much appreciated.

Hi Sal,

Thanks for your posting here.

I think it should depend on your plan. In general, It will be better to
move the data from source domain to the new domain. So the new user will
not need to access the resources in old domain with SIDhistory.

You can try robocopy.exe with the "/SEC" switch to copy the folders with
their NTFS permissions. For share permissions, we can backup and restore
them by saving and restoring the following registry key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares]

In addition, you can also try the File Server Migration Toolkit.

Wish it helps.

Hi Paul,

I think there is no problem if you have set the share permissions for the
new domain users account. Or you have to keep the old domain available and
keep the trusts between two domains.
