Clarification? |
|
|
I have 2 "storage servers" (both W2K), one of which my
users have access to and the other which I'd like to use
as a "real time" replica but to which the users have no
access.
So... If I set up a DFS root (on 2 servers to provide
redundancy for that bit), add a link pointing to (a) the
data directory I want replicated and (b) an empty
directory on the other server and then turn off DFS
Referral to server (b) will this ensure users only get
sent to server (a)?
Thanks |

Yes, the scenario you describe is expected behavior. If you turn off
referrals to server (b), users will only be referred to server (a).
